Job Description Enfield Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting the health and well-being of students, ensuring they are ready to learn and succeed in a safe and supportive environment. The position may be filled by either a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse, depending on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized health care plans. Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify and address health issues that may impact learning. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support students' health and educational needs. Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with state and district policies. Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community. Respond to health emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed. Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and guidelines. Qualifications

For RN Candidates:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing. Valid Connecticut RN license. Certification in School Nursing preferred.

For All Candidates:

Current CPR and First Aid certification. Experience working with children or adolescents in a healthcare or educational setting. Strong knowledge of pediatric and public health practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse school community. Salary Collective bargaining agreement located HERE.
