Do:
Deliver expert, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients. Coordinate and implement patient care plans, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations. Support continuity of care through clear and timely communication with multidisciplinary teams. Educate patients and families about treatments, side effects, and community resources. Administer medications safely, including emergency medications for CT simulations. Ensure compliance with nursing standards, universal precautions, and hospital policies. Provide compassionate support to patients with complex or terminal conditions. Uphold professional nursing ethics and act as a role model for colleagues.
Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut RN license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) preferred; required within 24 months of hire Current BLS certification Extensive knowledge in oncology nursing with excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills Join a collaborative, patient-focused environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families facing cancer.
