Job Description

Position Summary The Psychiatric APRN provides comprehensive mental health care, including psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and brief psychotherapy across the lifespan. This role practices independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health services. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments Diagnose mental health disorders using DSM-5 criteria Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications Deliver brief psychotherapy and psychoeducation Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and care teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR Participate in quality improvement and outcome tracking initiatives Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards Qualifications Active Connecticut APRN license Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) DEA license and Connecticut controlled substance registration Minimum 1-2 years of psychiatric experience preferred (new graduates may be considered) Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills Compensation & Workload We offer a compensation model designed to provide both financial stability and the opportunity to grow your income based on your productivity.
Base:
$55.00 per hour regardless of patients seen
Productivity Bonus:
In addition to your base, you'll have the opportunity to earn additional income based on completed and billed sessions
Earning Potential:
$135,000 to $170,000 depending on preferred pace and schedule. Workload & Schedule Typically 12-18 patients per day Balanced mix of new evaluations and follow-up visits Designed to support high-quality care and sustainable workloads Additional Benefits Life Insurance Malpractice coverage License and DEA reimbursement Flexible Schedule Full patient coordinator support/scheduling and billing services
