1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and certifications including TNCC. Details Work in the Emergency Department of a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital, part of the Yale New Haven Health System Combined adult and pediatric ED patient population Level II Trauma Center 4x12-hour night shifts (1900-0730) Every other weekend required Floating may be required as needed Epic EMR used Requirements Active CT or Compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required Experience in a combined adult/pediatric general emergency department required Experience with dysrhythmia management required IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required, including starting/maintaining IVs and central line care/management Experience with IV vasopressors required Respiratory skills required: CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patient management Experience with isolation precautions and triage required Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license 1 professional reference required for consideration Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler Up to 7 days of RTO can be approved; additional RTO requires further approval Free parking is available on-site
