Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract A rewarding summer opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to support middle school students from June 29, 2026, through July 30, 2026. This contract position focuses on providing skilled nursing care within a school setting located near New Britain, CT. The ideal candidate is a compassionate RN with a strong background in school nursing who is prepared to meet the daily healthcare needs of middle school students, including those requiring gtube support. Experience in working with youth and collaborating with educational staff is essential.
Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license in Connecticut (CT) Previous experience as a School Nurse, particularly with middle school-aged children Hands-on experience with gtube care and related procedures Effective communication and organizational skills Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic educational environment CPR certification
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to students with acute health needs, with a focus on gtube management Monitor student health concerns and administer medications as prescribed Maintain comprehensive and confidential health records Collaborate with interdisciplinary school teams and inform faculty of important health information Educate students and staff on issues related to wellness, hygiene, and safety Engage in emergency response and first aid as needed This summer contract position offers competitive pay between $35 and $40 per hour, allowing you to utilize your expertise in a setting that makes a real difference during the school summer term.
