Staff Opening Full-time School Nurse 7.5 Hours Daily Salary range $46.72/hour to $57.84/hour See attached job description and contract online for further details. Preference given to candidates able to work in the Extended School Year (ESY) program.Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school for registered nurses, Successful experience as a school nurse preferred but not required. Experience with nursing procedures (seizure protocol, tracheotomy, G-tube feeding, catheterization, diabetic care, etc.) highly preferred. Knowledgeable of school health procedures including state and federal mandates. Desire and demonstrated ability to work with school-aged children.Certification Requirements:
Current and valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license Current and valid CPR certification Physical Demands Requires the ability to sit/stand/pivot, twist and change position frequently.
