In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across a variety of settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will support patient recovery, comfort, and well-being through comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and personalized care plans. Duties:
Each assessment will be paid at a rate of $90-120 per assessment Perform thorough patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, conducting physical examinations, and evaluating patient needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders while adhering to safety protocols. Provide wound care, catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile procedures with precision and compassion. Assist with medical procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, suturing, and airway management. Maintain detailed medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure accurate patient records. Support discharge planning by coordinating follow-up care, educating patients on medication use, and providing health coaching. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and case managers to optimize patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times. Participate in infection control practices and maintain sterile techniques to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Conduct patient triage in urgent care or emergency settings to prioritize treatment based on acuity levels. Assist in specialized areas such as dementia care, hospice support, pediatric or neonatal units, or cardiac catheterization labs depending on experience. Educate patients and families about health conditions like Alzheimer's disease or chronic illnesses to promote understanding and self-care. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience working as an LPN in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, outpatient clinics, or home health settings. Experience with medical-surgical nursing, emergency medicine, geriatrics—including memory care—and long-term care is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is essential for efficient documentation. Additional preferred skills include proficiency in IV infusion therapy, ventilator management, dialysis support, infection control protocols, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and knowledge of medical terminology and physiology. Experience working with special populations such as children or individuals with developmental disabilities enhances your candidacy. This role requires excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or surgical units. A strong foundation in basic life support (BLS), sterile techniques including suturing and catheter care, and familiarity with medical imaging or laboratory procedures will set you apart.
