Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Spend your summer making a meaningful impact as a registered nurse supporting middle school students. This contract position runs from June 29, 2026, through July 30, 2026, and offers the opportunity to use your nursing expertise in a vibrant educational environment near Waterbury, CT. Enjoy rewarding work and competitive pay, earning between $35 and $40 per hour.
Ideal candidates will possess:
An active and valid RN license in Connecticut Experience working in school or pediatric settings Comfort and proficiency managing medical needs in a middle school population Proven experience with g-tube care and support Excellent communication and organizational skills Empathy, patience, and professionalism in collaborating with students, families, and staff Key responsibilities will include: Monitoring and attending to the routine and urgent medical needs of middle school students Administering medications and treatments, providing specialized care for students with g-tubes Collaborating with educators, school staff, and families to ensure student wellbeing Managing health records and adhering strictly to privacy policies Responding promptly to medical emergencies and implementing care plans as needed Educating students and staff on relevant health topics and preventive care This contract role is perfect for a nurse who thrives in an educational setting and is ready to spend the summer making a difference.
