This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital medical support in a lively, outdoor camp environment tailored to individuals with diverse needs. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging summer experience for all campers, leveraging your advanced nursing skills and compassionate approach. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient assessments to monitor campers' health status and respond promptly to medical needs. Administer medications, injections, and treatments following prescribed protocols while maintaining meticulous medical documentation. Manage emergency situations with confidence, utilizing your emergency medicine and trauma center experience to provide immediate care. Educate staff on campers health protocols, injury prevention, and basic physiology knowledge to foster a health-conscious environment. Qualifications Active RN license in [State] (or ability to obtain) Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification Experience working with children and/or individuals with special needs strongly preferred Comfortable managing a variety of medical and behavioral needs Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment Camp, school, or community program experience is a plus
