Not specified Description About the Job General Summary of Position MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital, the region's largest acute rehab hospital, is seeking anexperienced nurse leader to serve as Nursing Director for our Cardiac and Stroke Unit within a leading acute rehab setting. This role provides operational oversight of a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. MNRN is responsible for treating some of the nation's most complex restorative cases. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable, collaborative leader with a strong commitment toquality, safety, and patient satisfaction, ensuring compliance, performance excellence, and continuous improvement across clinical service line. You will partner with interdisciplinary teams to drive innovation and uphold the highest standards of rehabilitative care. Minimal Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a nationally accredited program required Master's degree in Nursing or health related field from a nationally accredited program preferred Experience 5-7 years in Nursing or health related field from a Nationally accredited program required 1-2 years of management and leadership experience preferred Licenses and Certifications RN- Registered Nurse
- State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required CPR
- Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit. C-EFM
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) is required for Perinatal nurses (labor and delivery antepartum antenatal testing) within 12 months from date of hire.
