1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Washington, D.C., requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent PICU or CVPICU experience Details Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position in a 320-bed Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital Float coverage spans PICU, CVPICU, and NICU units Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 in
PICU/CVPICU
; may be 1:3 when floating to NICU Shifts available: nights (4x12, 19:00-07:30) or days (4x12, 07:00-19:30) Every other weekend (EOW) required; block scheduling for weekends may be accommodated No on-call requirements Charting is performed in Cerner Requirements Active DC RN license required Current BLS and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or CVPICU experience required Strong comfort level floating between PICU, CVPICU, and NICU within scope of practice Pending DC RN license accepted Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients across PICU, CVPICU, and NICU settings Scrubs must be child-friendly with no logos; any color is acceptable RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days; any consecutive week of RTO must be offset by extending the contract by one week 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted
