Perioperative Nurse - Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Full-Time | Day Shift (7:30 am- 4:00 pm)| Competitive Pay & Benefits About Us Our Ambulatory Surgery Center is a patient-focused, fast-paced outpatient facility committed to providing high-quality, safe, and efficient surgical care. We value teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment that promotes excellence in perioperative nursing practice. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Perioperative Nurse (RN) to join our ASC team. This role includes responsibilities in Sedation, Pre-Op, Intra-Op, and PACU settings as needed. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. Responsibilities Pre-Operative Conduct patient assessments and pre-procedure screenings Review medical history, medications, and allergies Initiate IV access and administer pre-operative medications Educate patients and families about the surgical process and post-op expectations Intra-Operative (Circulating Nurse) Prepare and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to coordinate care Provide accurate documentation throughout the procedure Maintain strict adherence to AORN standards and infection prevention practices Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Monitor post-operative patients for stability, pain control, and recovery milestones Manage airway, vital signs, and postoperative complications Provide discharge instructions and patient/family education Document all care in accordance with facility policy and regulatory standards Qualifications Active RN license in the State of Delaware, or comparable compact licensure Minimum 1-2 years perioperative or PACU nursing experience preferred BLS required;
ACLS & PALS
