Direct Hire, Full-Time Position Overview Join a growing surgical nursing team providing exceptional care to post-operative patients recovering from orthopedic, bariatric, cardiothoracic, and general surgical procedures. Shift Details Full-Time, Days Three 12-hour shifts per week Weekend shifts as needed based on department requirements Compensation & Incentives Competitive compensation based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Career growth and professional development opportunities Supportive team environment Work with a highly respected healthcare organization Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-operative patients Perform thorough patient assessments and ongoing monitoring Read and interpret telemetry rhythms Monitor and manage patients recovering from total joint, bariatric, cardiothoracic, and general surgical procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic medical records Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care Unit Details 15-bed surgical unit Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5 EPIC computerized charting system Navy blue scrubs required CPM machines available for orthopedic patient recovery Patient population includes post-operative total joint, bariatric, cardiothoracic, and general surgical patients Requirements Active Delaware RN License or Compact RN License required BLS Certification required Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required Ability to read and interpret telemetry rhythms Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment Why This Opportunity Diverse post-surgical patient population Strong interdisciplinary team support Exposure to orthopedic, bariatric, cardiothoracic, and general surgery recovery care Opportunity to further develop telemetry and acute care nursing skills Stable full-time direct hire opportunity with long-term growth potential Location Seaford, Delaware offers a lower cost of living, convenient access to Maryland's Eastern Shore beaches, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
