Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting surgical teams as an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. This contract position calls for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to exceptional perioperative care. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient surgical procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license Minimum of 1 year recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience Thorough understanding of surgical asepsis, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and respond quickly in urgent situations Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills BLS and ACLS certifications required
Core Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring instruments and supplies are sterile and readily available Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical procedures Provide diligent patient assessments before and after surgeries Monitor patients' status intraoperatively and collaborate with the surgical team to address any complications or changes in condition Maintain accurate documentation related to procedures, equipment, and patient care Uphold the highest standards for safety and confidentiality
