Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across various settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of medical services, from acute care to long-term and community-based nursing, empowering patients through personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and immunizations, following strict aseptic techniques. Manage complex care procedures such as wound suturing, catheterization, ventilator management, and ostomy care. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and medical documentation standards. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care residents, and hospice patients. Engage in emergency response activities such as triage in urgent care or emergency room settings and manage acute pain or trauma cases effectively. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to safeguard patient information and promote a sterile environment. Support discharge planning by educating patients on medication administration, wound care, nutrition, and post-hospital instructions. Participate in ongoing training related to ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and other medical documentation standards to maintain certification requirements. Experience Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, ICU/CCU/Trauma centers (Level I & II), outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities. Critical care experience including ICU or emergency medicine is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth is essential for efficient documentation. Hands-on experience with specialized procedures such as botulinum toxin treatments (for certain therapeutic indications), dialysis support, laboratory specimen collection/processing, sonography or medical imaging is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform advanced skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, tube feeding management, and airway management. Knowledge of infectious disease protocols and infection control practices applicable across hospital or outpatient settings. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in memory/dementia care environments is valued. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology knowledge, and diagnostic evaluation methods necessary for comprehensive patient assessment.
