Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Elevate your nursing career by providing specialized care as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This contract opportunity enables you to work alongside a multidisciplinary surgical team, supporting advanced cardiovascular procedures and impacting patient outcomes with your expertise.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active RN license Minimum of 1 year experience in a CVOR setting Current certifications in BLS and ACLS Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in high-acuity surgical environments Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills Familiarity with a range of CVOR procedures and protocols Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient care Monitor patients' status throughout procedures, promptly recognizing and responding to changes Administer medications, manage drips, and assist with equipment during cases Document all aspects of care according to facility and regulatory standards Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care planning Adhere to strict infection control guidelines and maintain a safe environment
