- Gainesville, FL A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join its emergency services team.

About the Role The Emergency Department RN will assess, stabilize, and care for patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. Working alongside physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, this role requires strong critical-thinking skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to prioritize care effectively. Responsibilities Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels Triage patients and identify conditions requiring immediate intervention Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and emergency treatments as prescribed Assist with trauma care, emergency procedures, and life-saving interventions Monitor cardiac activity and other vital functions using specialized equipment Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans Provide pain management and evaluate patient responses to interventions Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Promote patient safety while ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the department Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required or ability to obtain Previous emergency department or acute care nursing experience preferred Strong assessment, triage, and critical-thinking skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Benefits Competitive compensation package Comprehensive health and wellness benefits Retirement savings opportunities Paid time off and leave programs Continuing education and certification support Professional development and advancement opportunities Employee wellness resources How to Apply Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their resume to: Please complete the online application to be considered.
