Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and leadership-driven In-Center Dialysis Charge Nurse to oversee daily shift operations at our chronic outpatient clinic. Together with the Director of Nursing, you will lead a dedicated team of patient care technicians, manage patient flow across shifts, and ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, operational efficiency, and a passion for regular patient care.

Key Responsibilities Shift Management:

Together with Administrative Assistant, coordinate patient schedules and chair assignments to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.

Clinical Supervision:

Oversee chronic hemodialysis treatments, monitor patient vital signs, assess access sites, and intervene during clinical complications.

Water Room & Equipment Compliance:

Verify daily water treatment logs, dialysate testing, and machine safety checks meet CMS and AAMI standards.

Staff Leadership:

Supervise, mentor, and audit the clinical skills of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).

Care Coordination:

Partner with Director of Nursing, nephrologists, dietitian, and social worker to review monthly care plans and lab trends.

Required Qualifications Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).

Licensure:

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of chronic, in-center outpatient dialysis experience AND 1+ years in a charge nurse or supervisory role.

Certifications:

Current BLS certification required.

Technical Skills:
