Hollywood, FL Job Details Part-time $37 - $48 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Nursing RN License BLS Certification ACLS Certification Patient safety Patient interaction Full Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) - Recovery Area / Procedural Care (Part time) Florida Interventional Institute (FII) Hollywood, FL About Us Florida Interventional Institute (FII) is a growing outpatient interventional radiology practice dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care in a comfortable outpatient setting. We specialize in minimally invasive procedures such as uterine fibroids embolization and pride ourselves on delivering an outstanding patient experience from consultation through recovery. We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse or a motivated recent graduate. Candidates should have prior experience in an ICU, Emergency Department (ER), PACU, or recovery setting. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply if they have completed clinical rotations or significant training experiences in any of these areas during their nursing education. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, possesses strong clinical assessment skills, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care and communication. •Additional Information •This position is classified as an independent contractor (1099) role. We are looking to fill this position immediately and encourage qualified candidates to apply as soon as possible. Position Summary The RN will play a key role in both pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery care. The nurse will work closely with the physician and Nurse Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care throughout the procedural process.
Schedule Part-time position Procedure days:
Thursdays and Fridays Approximately 5-6 days per month Average 55-60 hours per month Daytime hours only No nights, weekends, or hospital call Responsibilities Pre-Procedure Care Prepare patients for procedures Obtain and document vital signs Start peripheral IV lines Complete pre-procedure assessments and charting Review medications, allergies, and medical history Ensure patient readiness and comfort prior to procedures Post-Procedure Recovery Monitor patients during recovery Assess vital signs, pain control, and overall clinical status Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Provide detailed post-procedure education and discharge instructions Ensure safe discharge of patients according to established protocols Team Collaboration Work closely with the Interventional Radiologist and Nurse Manager Maintain accurate and timely documentation Support a positive, patient-focused environment Contribute to efficient clinic workflow and patient throughput Qualifications Required Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach Preferred Experience Candidates should have one of the following -- Experience in: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Recovery Room Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Emergency Department (ER) OR Recent nursing graduate with documented clinical training/rotations in recovery, ICU, emergency or critical care.
