RN Med Surg | Homestead, Florida

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with experience in cardiovascular procedures to contribute expertise in a specialized cardiac catheterization lab. This position supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures within a dynamic team environment.

Location Summary:

Situated in Homestead, FL, this hospital unit is equipped with advanced technology such as Phillips and GE imaging systems, implementing documentation through Meditech and Mac Lab. The cardiac vascular lab accommodates 13 beds and 30 skilled staff members, offering a supportive framework for patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

Day Shift:

7:00 am to 5:30 pm, or until all cases are completed

Night Shift:

On Call (after hours, weekends, and major holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and support a variety of cardiac procedures including Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), Right Heart Catheterization (RHC), peripheral interventions, structural heart cases, and electrophysiology studies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation following facility protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams ensuring high-quality patient care. Respond to call requirements, providing expert care during after-hours and critical periods.

Required Qualifications:

Valid Registered Nurse licensure with MS degree preferred Current ACLS and BLS certifications Proven catheterization lab experience, particularly with interventional cardiology procedures Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and work independently with confidence

Scrub uniforms are provided by the facility. Patient ratio approximately 1:3, enabling focused attention to critical cases.
