Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in cardiovascular care and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and specialized cardiology settings while supporting evidence-based cardiovascular management. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and cardiac biomarkers. Prescribe and titrate medications in accordance with guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT). Manage heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, and other cardiovascular conditions. Provide post-procedural care, including follow-up for cardiac catheterization, pacemakers/ICDs, and post-CABG patients. Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on cardiovascular risk reduction, lifestyle modifications, and disease management. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research efforts as applicable. Coordinate care for high-risk and complex cardiac patients, including telehealth management when appropriate . Skills Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills: Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or other EMR/EHR systems. Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or hospital settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical documentation practices. Expertise in specific areas such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, or infectious disease care. Ability to perform esthetic procedures including botulinum toxin treatment and dermal fillers. Experience with telehealth services and case management for diverse patient populations. Strong understanding of health coaching principles and utilization review processes. Commitment to infection control practices and aseptic techniques in clinical settings.
