Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Operate and troubleshoot advanced medical equipment including ventilators, dialysis machines, cardiac monitors, and EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, trauma medicine protocols, and infection control procedures. Provide specialized care in areas such as ICU (including PICU), emergency room triage, post-acute care settings like hospice & palliative medicine or long-term care facilities. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records using
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding standards; ensure compliance with NCQA standards. Support patients with complex needs including those with developmental disabilities, memory care requirements, or behavioral health challenges. Qualifications Valid RN license Critical care experience preferred; ICU or Level I/II trauma center experience highly valued. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Experience working in diverse settings including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology; capable of performing physical exams and diagnostic evaluations. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with excellent patient assessment skills; experience with acute pain management and infection control protocols is a plus. Additional skills such as suturing, ostomy care, gastrostomy tube feeding, phlebotomy, sterile processing or esthetic laser treatment are advantageous but not required.
