In this vital role, you will champion the ongoing professional growth of our nursing staff by designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive training programs. Your expertise will ensure that our team maintains the highest standards of patient care, compliance, and clinical excellence across diverse healthcare settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the development of nursing talent while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Duties Develop and coordinate educational programs tailored to the needs of nursing staff, including orientation, in-service training, and continuing education courses. Assess staff training needs through performance evaluations, competency assessments, and feedback mechanisms. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance, medical documentation standards, and medical terminology to ensure training aligns with legal and industry requirements. Facilitate adult education sessions utilizing effective teaching methods that accommodate various learning styles. Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify skill gaps in areas such as critical care, ICU, pediatrics, home care, and acute care environments. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and performance metrics; adjust curricula accordingly. Ensure all training documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with medical records standards and privacy regulations. Skills Extensive critical care experience including ICU or acute care settings; nursing home experience is highly valued. Strong background in hospital or teaching hospital environments with familiarity in patient care across diverse populations such as pediatrics and adults. Deep knowledge of physiology and anatomy to effectively teach complex concepts related to patient health. Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy in documentation. Proven ability to develop engaging training materials and deliver impactful educational sessions for adult learners. Excellent communication skills with a talent for motivating staff and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
