Job Description

Job Summary Maintain continued competence in assigned and related areas. Maintain a good working relationship with students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. Observe college rules/regulations and state guidelines appropriate to faculty responsibilities. Teaches wherever and whenever assigned as determined by clinical instructional needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Collaborates with faculty in the development and implementation of the nursing curriculum for the nursing skills lab including lab teaching. Provides input regarding budgetary, teaching and planning needs for the skills lab. Collaborates with faculty regarding lab demonstrations, lab testing, standardized testing and remediation testing. In collaboration with other nursing faculty, sets up Skills Fairs/Boot Camps each semester. Assists students in developing proficiency in psychomotor nursing skills. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Meet all scheduled labs/clinicals for the full period as delineated on the schedule. Keep accurate and up-to-date records on all students. Submit grade reports on or before deadlines according to college procedures. Participate in performance appraisal and instructional observation processes as specified by VP Academic Affairs. Demonstrate knowledge of current instructional methods. Use instructional support materials and equipment as appropriate to enhance lab presentations. Minimum Qualifications & Education Master's degree in nursing. Two (2) most recent years of medical/surgical clinical experience. Educational Credentials (Foreign Degrees) Applicants with foreign transcripts earned outside the United States must submit an evaluation from a credentialing evaluation service recognized by a U.S.-based accrediting body (such as NACES or AICE) to verify that the education/degree meets the minimum requirements for the position. Official transcripts, along with certified English translations if applicable, must be provided within 30 days of hire as a condition of employment.
