Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert mental health assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver high-quality care to diverse patient populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize advanced nursing skills across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and telehealth platforms. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including patient history, mental status exams, and risk assessments. Develop and implement individualized care plans utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical research data. Administer medications, including psychopharmacology treatments such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, and other prescribed therapies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and case management strategies. Engage in patient education regarding mental health conditions, medication adherence, and wellness strategies. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment progress. Stay current with advancements in behavioral health, ICD coding standards (ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and HIPAA compliance to ensure best practices. Experience Proven experience as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or similar role within behavioral health or psychiatric settings. Demonstrated proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for individuals with complex mental health needs. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote patient management tools. Experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, assisted living residents, or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued. Knowledge of pharmacological treatments such as psychotropic medications and injection administration techniques. Prior exposure to hospital environments like Level I or Level II trauma centers, inpatient psychiatric units, or outpatient clinics is preferred. Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies and familiarity with medical documentation standards including ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10). $130,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
