Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Contract An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced RN to provide specialized care in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. This contract position requires expertise in supporting cardiac procedures and assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Previous experience in a Cath Lab setting required Proficient in monitoring and assisting with cath lab procedures BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid) Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team Reliability and flexibility to meet the dynamic needs of the department
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all diagnostic/interventional cardiac catheterization procedures Monitor patients pre, intra, and post-procedure, responding to any changes in condition Manage medications and provide advanced cardiac life support as needed Document patient data accurately and promptly in the medical record Ensure a sterile environment and comply with infection control protocols Educate patients and families on procedures, post-care, and recovery expectations Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologic technologists, and other staff for optimal patient outcomes
