Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile IV Therapy Nurse bilingual RN/NP per diem, where you will deliver expert intravenous therapy directly to patients in their homes,.This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide personalized, high-quality care while promoting health and wellness across diverse populations. As a vital member of our mobile nursing team, you will utilize your advanced nursing skills to administer IV infusions, manage patient assessments, and ensure optimal patient comfort and safety. Your energetic approach and commitment to exceptional care will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives every day. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and physical examinations to determine IV therapy needs. Administer IV infusions with precision, including hydration, medication delivery, and nutrient supplementation, following aseptic technique standards. Manage catheter care and troubleshoot infusion issues to prevent complications and ensure patient comfort. Educate patients on IV therapy procedures, post-treatment care, and medication administration while addressing questions with clarity and compassion. Document all procedures accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic evaluations and patient needs. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed during all procedures to maintain a sterile environment. Skills Proven experience in medical-surgical, emergency medicine, critical care (ICU/Trauma Level I & II), or hospital medicine settings with proficiency in IV insertion and catheterization. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology related to IV therapy and infusion management. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, and specimen collection/processing. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments like urgent care or outpatient clinics. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, memory care patients, and those requiring hospice or palliative medicine services.
