Join our dedicated team at a well-established Skilled Nursing Facility in Florida, where you'll make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents every day. Position Summary The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring residents with acute and chronic wounds while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to promote optimal healing and prevent complications. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide wound care treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical best practices. Monitor wound healing progress and document assessments accurately. Coordinate care with physicians, rehabilitation staff, dietitians, and nursing personnel. Educate residents, families, and staff on wound prevention and treatment. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies. Assist with pressure injury prevention and skin integrity programs. Maintain accurate medical records and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Current Florida RN or LPN license in good standing. Previous wound care experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred. Wound Care Certification (WCC, WOCN, or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
