Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. This vital role combines advanced clinical skills with compassionate patient care, working across diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, and community health programs. You will lead pediatric assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes for young patients. Duties Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments for pediatric patients across all age groups, including infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents. Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication administration. Manage acute and chronic conditions such as gastroenterology issues, infectious diseases, behavioral health concerns, and pain management. Perform procedures including spinal taps, catheterization, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas such as ICU care, emergency medicine. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance pediatric healthcare practices. Requirements Valid Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification with current licensure in Florida. Proven experience working with children in settings such as hospitals (Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center preferred), clinics, or assisted living facilities. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 coding standards, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems . Skilled in performing procedures including suturing, catheter care, tube feeding management, and basic life support certification. Critical care experience in ICU or PICU environments is highly desirable; familiarity with neonatal ventilators or infant care is a plus. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using sonography or laboratory testing; experience with infection control protocols essential. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with a compassionate approach to working with children and families facing complex health challenges.
