Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine individual needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Manage complex procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, and tube feeding with precision and confidence. Document all patient interactions thoroughly using electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to ensure accurate medical records. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update personalized care plans aligned with patient goals. Provide patient education on health management, medication administration, pain control strategies, and discharge instructions. Respond swiftly to emergencies such as acute pain episodes or trauma situations utilizing critical care response procedures in Level I or Level II trauma centers. Skills Proven experience working in diverse settings including hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, pediatrics, geriatrics, or behavioral health environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and laboratory result interpretation. Skilled in performing diagnostic evaluations such as sonography or laboratory specimen collection/processing. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner or eClinicalWorks for efficient documentation and patient data management. Expertise in specialized procedures including cardiology catheterization, dialysis management, ostomy care, neonatal resuscitation procedures (NRP), or gastrostomy tube management. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays across settings like assisted living or memory care facilities. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments in urgent care or outpatient clinics; capable of providing health coaching and family planning guidance when needed. Wellness Care Concierge is a Florida-registered Nurse Registry. All applicants are required to successfully complete a Level 2 Background Screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse as a condition of employment or placement.
