Job Description
This position will assist with vascular surgery procedures, such as angiograms and venograms, in the facility's office-based laboratory on Wednesday's and Thursdays. The Registered Nurse will serve in a perioperative capacity from confirming patient consent, starting IV, placing ECG patches, administering medication during procedure, recovering the patient following the procedure, and discharging the patient. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of acute care experience and ACLS certification by the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Provide general nursing care to patients in office/office-based lab setting
- Administer prescribed medications treatments in accordance with approved nursing technique
- Prepare equipment & aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients
- Observe patient, records significant conditions as well as reactions, and alsonotifies physician of patient'scondition reaction to drugs, treatments, and also significant incidents
- Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, andother vital signs to detect deviations from normal assess condition of patient
- May prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment supplies, and assist physician
