Sign-on & relocation (case-by-case, not guaranteed) Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and clinically strong Cardiac Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing night shift team. This role involves delivering comprehensive bedside care to adult patients recovering from cardiac events and complex medical conditions in a structured, high-acuity environment. Core Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments on admission and throughout the shift. Monitor cardiac and neurological status and report clinical changes promptly. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by providers. Observe and evaluate patient responses to therapies and interventions. Provide bedside care focused on safety, comfort, and patient advocacy. Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and discharge care. Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation. Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety standards. Requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred). Active RN license in Florida or Compact RN license (Florida required within 60 days if relocating). BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. Prior acute care RN experience required. Recent acute care experience within the last 3 years preferred (or 5 years with strong experience history). Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in fast-paced hospital environments. Ability to manage 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio on night shifts.
