SurgCenter Northeast:

Supervises the Preop/PACU staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases. Prepares monthly schedules. Prepare, coordinate and perform monthly staff meetings Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency and smooth case flow. Assists with education by coordinating and/or giving in-services. Prepare schedules in the afternoon for next day. Communicate with vendors and representatives for supplies, equipment or instruments Works closely with Materials and Sterile Processing Dept to coordinate supplies & instrument needs. Preparing and administering annual evaluations Works closely with manager with hiring and orienting Preop/PACU staff members Helps in revising and preparing policies that relate to Preop/PACU functions Assistance in maintaining compliance for Joint Commission surveys

Qualifications:

Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing BSN preferred. Two (2) years experience in surgery management that must include pre-op, intra-op, post-op care with total joint and spine experience. Current FL License

BLS & ACLS

Certification required Independent decision making skills Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.
