Your expertise will support preoperative preparations, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative management across diverse surgical settings. Responsibilities Assess patients' health status through detailed physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and comprehensive patient assessments. Prepare patients for surgery by explaining procedures, ensuring informed consent, and verifying medical histories. Assist surgical teams during procedures by maintaining aseptic technique, and supporting intraoperative needs. instructions, and follow-up procedures to promote recovery at home or in long-term care settings. Skills Proven experience in surgical nursing with familiarity in operating room (OR) procedures and sterile processing protocols. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgical interventions. Skilled in IV insertion, catheterization (including Foley catheters), and aseptic technique adherence. Ability to perform physical examinations efficiently while demonstrating excellent patient assessment skills. Knowledge of infection control standards and infectious disease care practices within hospital or outpatient settings. Must have current GA nursing license, ACLS and BLS.
