Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by providing exceptional care in a dynamic stepdown and progressive care environment. This role offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, caring for patients transitioning from critical care and those requiring close monitoring. You will utilize your expertise in stepdown and PCU to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes, using advanced clinical skills and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care in a stepdown or progressive care unit, including monitoring and assessing complex conditions. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to execute individualized patient care plans. Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient status or emergencies. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to safety protocols. Document assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records. Provide emotional support and education to patients and families regarding ongoing care needs. Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Desired Qualifications:
Active RN license with good standing. Demonstrated experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care (PCU) settings preferred. Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities. Adaptability to changing patient needs and fast-paced environments.
