Job Description Summary:

Provide professional nursing care for patient(s) and respective family according to established standards and practices.

Description:

Qualifications 2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing from a state accredited school (Required) 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred) Work Experience 1+ years Nursing Experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications Required Certifications/Licensures:

Basic Life Support (BLS) Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license Essential Functions

STANDARDS OF NURSING PRACTICE

Provide professional standards in practicing nursing. Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation. Analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues. Identifies the expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation. Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives for expected outcomes. Implements the identified plan. Evaluates the progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Provide assistance to patients and visitors when administering care. Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. CARE PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION

Develops an individualized plan with strategies that address diagnoses. Provides for continuity through a plan that directs other members of the team. Implements the plan in a safe and timely manner. Documents implementation and includes changes or omissions of the identified plan. Consults with healthcare providers and makes referrals as appropriate. Utilizes appropriate community resources and systems to implement the plan.

CARE PROCESSES

Treats patients and families with compassion and implements plan of care. Bases care decisions on plan of care. Monitors and documents patient response. Establishes rapport with clients.
