Day Shift Description:
Part Time with Benefits, Tuesday, Thursday + additional week day, 8a-4:30p. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving outpatient wound treatment in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based practice Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including wound assessments, measurements, staging, and evaluation of healing progress Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for wound management Perform and/or oversee wound care treatments, including complex dressing changes, compression therapy, and advanced wound care modalities per protocol Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring patient responses and outcomes Educate patients and caregivers on wound care management, prevention strategies, treatment plans, and follow-up care Accurately document assessments, interventions, treatments, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Monitor patients for signs of infection, complications, or changes in condition and intervene appropriately Collaborate with physicians, LPNs, medical assistants, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care Provide clinical guidance and supervision to LPNs and support staff as appropriate Ensure adherence to infection control standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements Support efficient clinic operations, including patient flow, scheduling coordination, and supply management Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and staff education activities Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism and respect for diverse patient populations Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia. Current BLS certification required. Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Experience:
One year of recent emergency or critical care experience preferred (within the past five years) Special Qualifications:
