Job Description

Child Psych Nurse Full Time
  • Multiple Shifts Available Sign-On Bonus available.

In short, we help kids find and become who they are. Our 246 bed private psychiatric facility has a 50+ year tradition of providing the safest, caring and friendly care to those who enter our doors. We are seeking experienced and dedicated Mental Health Nurses to help us deliver the compassionate care children need and that Peachford is known for! These are full-time position, 32
  • 36•40 hours per week.
Schedules vary with options for no weekends or weekends only with a higher base pay. What You Will Do As a Child Psych Nurse , you will draw on your skills to connect with, support, and educate children, ages 5
  • 12; and serve as a critical team member collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to assess patient progress and modify treatment programs accordingly.
This is a challenging environment where continual learning and autonomy is expected as you work to make a difference in the life of a child. Purpose Provide care to children and their families in a respectful, caring, empowering, holistic, trauma informed and culturally sensitive manner. Caring Initiating nursing presence and role-modeling by being dependable, friendly and open. Learning Assisting children by providing knowledge of healthy strategies to ensure the children and their families experience positive outcomes and long-term success.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant must: Hold a current Georgia or eCompact Registered Nurse license Have one year of experience in a mental or behavioral healthcare setting preferred but not required. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be organized and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Be reliable, patient, professional and friendly.
