Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) •This position is available at our Suncrest Home Health location•RN - Suncrest home Health/Southside We currently have an opening for a RN in a growing Home Health company. Suncrest Home Health/Southside pledges to be person centered, quality focused and community minded. In this time of uncertainty, Suncrest Home Health provides a safe and effective way to receive the care our patients need in their home. You will provide professional support for home care following established standards and practices. Our current client locations are in Fulton and Dekalb counties.
Description of Duties:
1. Performs home health care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. 2. Reviews and maintains patients' records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results. 3. Observes, records, and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed. 4. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients. 5. Maintains cooperative relationship among home health care team by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solving methods. 6. Maintains patient confidentiality. 7. Ensures quality and safe delivery of home health care. 8. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 9. Supports and enforces infection-control policies and procedures. 10. Performs related work as required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of home health care. 2. Has administrative and clinical skills. 3. Is sensitive to needs and concerns of patients and home health care team. 4. Excellent communication and writing skills. 5. Has the ability to supervise and train staff. 6. Ability to take and give directions. 7. Ability to carry out treatment as ordered and document appropriately within the realm of practice 8. Has ability to use mature nursing judgment in daily decision making. 9. Knowledge of medical terminology and medication.Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a B.S. Degree required. Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred. Current Nursing license from the Georgia State Board of Nursing. At least 2-3 years of home health care. Bilingual is a plus.Typical Working Conditions:
Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medical preparations and other conditions common to a home health care environment.Job Type:
