Job Description

BrightStar Care of Southwest AtlantaCollege Park Are you a Registered Nurse with experience in tracheostomy care, mechanical ventilation, or neurological/brain injury cases looking for meaningful 1-on-1 patient care without the chaos of a hospital floor? BrightStar Care of Southwest AtlantaCollege Park is urgently hiring RNs to provide continuous, shift-based skilled nursing care for an adult patient with a traumatic brain injury, tracheostomy, and gastrostomy tube in their home setting in Southwest Atlanta. This is a dedicated private duty nursing case with a target start date of June 1. We need to build a team of 4-5 RNs to cover 24/7 continuity of care. PaySchedule $45-55/hr | Weekly pay with direct deposit Rate reflects acuity
  • trach/vent and brain injury experience compensated accordingly 12-hour shifts available: days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am) Consistent, ongoing schedule
  • this is not a PRN or per-visit role About This Case You will be providing one-on-one private duty nursing care to an adult patient recovering from a brain injury.
The patient requires continuous skilled nursing oversight including: Tracheostomy management: suctioning, site care, tube changes per protocol, and airway monitoring Mechanical ventilator management: monitoring settings, circuit integrity, alarm response, and parameter documentation (if vented

Qualifications Required:
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience; ICU, LTACH, PCU, step-down, or home health preferred Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy management (suctioning, site care, tube changes) Experience with enteral feeding (G-tube or NG-tube) and associated medication administration Current CPR/BLS certification Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past 12 months Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred:
Mechanical ventilator experience (ICU, LTACH, long-term vent unit, or home vent) Experience caring for patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, or other neurological conditions Private duty or home health nursing experience ACLS certification Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and assisting with patient mobility and repositioning.
