Schedule:
56 Hours Per Week (Schedule TBD) — 2 positions available
Pay:
$50/hour (1099, Weekly Pay) Cottage Grove Home Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a medically complex pediatric patient in the home setting. This role is ideal for a nurse who is confident working independently and experienced managing high-acuity, multi-system care needs in a home environment.
Patient Overview:
17-year-old male with complex, multi-system medical needs Conditions requiring monitoring include: Cardiomyopathy, Arrhythmias, Respiratory decline, Interstitial lung disease, Scoliosis, Joint contractures, Foot deformities, Dysphagia, Malnutrition, Osteoporosis, Chronic pain Followed by a multidisciplinary specialist team including Pulmonology, Neurology, Cardiology, Orthopedic Surgery, and others Family is actively engaged in the patient's care
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing monitoring each visit Monitor respiratory status and manage ventilatory support equipment as needed (High Flow Oxygen) Monitor cardiac status and document any changes in condition Provide musculoskeletal care including positioning, contracture prevention, and mobility assistance Monitor nutritional status and support management of dysphagia and feeding concerns Administer medications per physician orders Monitor for signs of respiratory distress, cardiac changes, or neurological decline Communicate effectively with caregiver and coordinate with multidisciplinary care team
Requirements:
Active Georgia RN license in good standing Minimum 1 year nursing experience preferred; pediatric or home health strongly preferred Experience with neuromuscular conditions, respiratory equipment, or medically complex patients strongly preferred Ability to work independently and confidently in a home environment Reliable transportation Current CPR/BLS certification Current TB testing required
