Job Description
Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Travel Experience the charm of Byron, GA on your next travel nursing adventure. Byron is known for its welcoming atmosphere and easy access to Georgia's rich history, scenic parks, and bustling local markets. This travel assignment places you in a vibrant emergency department within a large, Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital—an ideal setting to elevate your professional skills and expand your resume with exposure to a high-acuity environment and diverse clinical leadership approaches. Enjoy professional growth as you navigate a fast-paced ER with 61+ beds, where teamwork and adaptability are valued. Gain experience handling a wide variety of cases, from strokes and chest pain to trauma and mental health emergencies. The support structure includes CNAs, a transport team, round-the-clock respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists, ensuring collaborative care.
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts/12 per 6-week cycle No on-call requirement Holiday coverage: 1 shift per major holidayDesired Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years ED RN experience Active RN licenseBLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
required EKG competency required (exam during onboarding) Emergency Nursing national certification preferred Familiarity with Level 1 Trauma protocols and critical drips (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed)EPIC EMR

Deliver high-quality care in a Level 1 Trauma environment Assess, triage, and manage patients across a broad spectrum of emergencies Participate in continuous teamwork with physicians and support staff Perform or assist with procedures and medication administration Document accurately in EMR (EPIC)Benefits & Travel Perks:
