8 Weeks (Extension Possible) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a busy Medical-Surgical unit at a leading acute care hospital in Cartersville, Georgia. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional bedside care to adult and geriatric patients while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Med-Surg RN who excels in a fast-paced hospital environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical-Surgical unit Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and changes in status Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately Manage oxygen therapy and support respiratory care needs Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify dysrhythmias Respond appropriately to emergencies, Rapid Response events, and Code Blue situations Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EMR systems (Epic preferred) Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and PPE protocols Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in Georgia or Compact State License Minimum 3 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience Acute care hospital experience required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to manage a patient ratio of up to 1:6 Availability to work a Day Shift schedule (3x12)
