Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Step into an essential role caring for patients in a dynamic, fast-paced Progressive Care and Stepdown environment. This contract opportunity offers registered nurses the chance to deliver high-level, attentive care to adults transitioning from critical to intermediate care. Utilize your clinical expertise while working with a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient-centered outcomes.
Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered RN license At least 1 year of recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting Proficient with telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac life support protocols Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong critical thinking and communication skills Ability to effectively manage rapidly changing patient conditions
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments Interpret and respond to changes in patient condition, adjusting care plans appropriately Administer medications and manage IV infusions according to clinical protocols Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care plans Uphold infection prevention and patient safety standards at all times This contract role allows you to build meaningful connections with patients while expanding your clinical skill set in a rewarding environment.
