Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a critical nursing role supporting dynamic surgical teams in the Operating Room. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures on a contract basis. This position requires expertise in perioperative nursing and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted RN license Proven experience working as an RN in the Operating Room setting Comprehensive knowledge of perioperative protocols and best practices Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, competent nursing care throughout the surgical process Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies Scrub or circulate to assist surgical teams as assigned Monitor patient status and vital signs intraoperatively Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient status Ensure strict adherence to infection control and hospital protocols Provide clear updates and compassionate support to patients and families This contract opportunity offers a chance to apply your perioperative expertise in a highly regarded surgical environment.
