Job Description

Shift Time Wednesday and Friday-8 am to 8 pm (12 hours Shift) Job Overview Join our dynamic pediatric home health care team as a Registered Nurse (RN), providing compassionate, expert nursing care to children in their homes. This full-time position offers an engaging Wednesday and Friday shift from 8 am to 8 pm, with flexible scheduling options within the 10 to 12-hour window. As a vital member of our team, you will deliver personalized care, promote health and safety, and empower families through education and support. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories for pediatric patients. Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Manage complex medical needs such as ventilator support, tube feeding, catheter care, and wound management with precision and compassion. Coordinate care plans with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines like ICD-10 coding standards and HIPAA regulations. Educate families on medication administration, disease management, developmental milestones, and safety procedures to foster independence and confidence. Monitor patient progress through regular documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner; update medical records accurately. Respond promptly to emergency situations or changes in patient condition via triage protocols; provide critical care interventions as needed. Requirements Valid RN license with current state certification; prior pediatric home health experience highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric nursing procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, sterile processing, and infection control practices. Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions like cerebral palsy or respiratory issues. Knowledge of advanced clinical skills including cardiopulmonary assessment, acute pain management, trauma medicine, and emergency response techniques. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; strong medical documentation skills aligned with NCQA standards. Ability to work independently within a home environment while maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, caregivers, and healthcare teams; compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients.
