Category Nursing - RN-ICU Job Type Contract Elevate your nursing career in a highly specialized Intensive Care Unit. This contract opportunity is ideal for Registered Nurses with robust critical care expertise, seeking to make a significant difference in patient outcomes. You'll collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, provide life-saving interventions, and support patients through complex health challenges.
Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an ICU setting Comprehensive knowledge of critical care protocols, ventilators, and hemodynamic monitoring Certification in BLS and ACLS required Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adults Monitor, assess, and record patients' vital signs and responses to therapies Administer medications, infusions, and advanced interventions per physician orders Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other team members Educate families and patients on care plans and treatment progress Assess changes in patient conditions and respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies Uphold patient safety, privacy, and dignity at all times
