About the
Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home pediatric care for a child with special needs. This rewarding position focuses on holistic, family-centered support for a bright and resilient young child who requires both medical oversight and developmental support in a home-based setting. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, patience, flexibility, and a heart for working with children who have complex medical and developmental needs.Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and care plan Monitor and manage chronic health conditions (e.g., seizure activity, feeding, medications) Check vital signs Inventory medical supplies within the home Keep patient's primary care area clean and free of clutter Collaborate with therapy teams and family members to ensure comprehensive care Maintain accurate documentation (notes, assessments, incident reporting) Support activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed Conduct care plan updates, family education, and team meetings Ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the childRequirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience (home health preferred) Experience or interest in working with children with special needs (Examples:
cerebral palsy, epilepsy, visual impairment, Rhett's Syndrome, microcephaly, developmental delays, hearing impairment) CPR/BLS certification Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary teamPreferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with medically fragile or developmentally delayed children Familiarity with G-tubes, seizure protocols, assistive devices, or vision/hearing impairment support Experience with homeschool, therapy, or early intervention settings a plusJob Types:
