Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings across different locations (specifically Americus, GA for this role). This part time role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work in diverse environments. As a Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and medical history. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to aseptic techniques. Perform specimen collection processing and manage documentation in electronic health records, such as Epic. Provide care in specialized areas such as hospice palliative medicine and critical care transport. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families on health management, pain management strategies, and post-discharge instructions. Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and regulations within the healthcare facility. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Current nursing license valid in the state of practice. Experience in medical-surgical nursing or critical care preferred. Proficient in vital signs assessment and management of patient care needs. Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) processes is a plus. Strong skills in specimen collection processing and documentation practices. Ability to work independently while also being a team player. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
