Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Advance your career as a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. In this engaging role, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary surgical team, playing a key part in the care and recovery of patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. This contract opportunity allows you to deepen your expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced operating room setting.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Current, active RN license in good standing Minimum of one year recent experience as an RN in a CVOR environment BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Proven ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, scrub techs, and anesthesia teams Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular surgical equipment and protocols
Schedule:
Contract-based assignment Shifts and hours may vary; flexibility is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries Assist with preparation and management of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies for surgical procedures Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and provide high-level support throughout surgery and recovery Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies Participate in operating room setup, sterile procedures, and adherence to infection prevention standards Provide patient and family education regarding surgical processes and post-operative care
